3. Using Plant Scan

Guest Mode (No Account Required)

You can use Plant Scan without creating an account. Guest mode provides:

• Full access to plant identification features
• 5 free identifications per month (device-level tracking)
• Ability to purchase and use premium subscriptions (stored on device)
• Local storage of identification history and favorites on your device
• No personal information collected

Account Creation (Optional)

Creating an account is optional and provides additional benefits:

• Cloud backup of your plant history and favorites
• Sync data across multiple devices
• Recover data if you reinstall or get a new device

By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Free Account

• 5 identifications per calendar month
• Access to identification history
• Save plants to favorites collection
• Basic plant information and care tips

Premium Account

• Unlimited identifications
• Access to all plant care information and recommendations

Lifetime Access

• Available through voucher codes or special promotions
• Provides all premium features permanently
• No recurring charges
• Subject to terms at time of activation

4. User Responsibilities

Refund Policy

• Refunds are handled directly by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies

• We cannot process or approve refunds on your behalf

Voucher Codes

• Valid voucher codes grant lifetime access
• Each code can only be used once
• Codes cannot be transferred or refunded
• We reserve the right to deactivate fraudulent codes

8. Accuracy of Information and Safety Disclaimer

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: Plant identification results are provided for informational and educational purposes only. AI-based identification is NOT 100% accurate and should NEVER be relied upon for:

• Determining if a plant is safe to eat, touch, or consume
• Identifying poisonous, toxic, or dangerous plants
• Medical, therapeutic, or health-related purposes
• Professional botanical or scientific classification
• Any life-critical or safety-critical decisions

DO NOT consume, touch, or use any plant based solely on our app's identification. ALWAYS consult with qualified professionals including:

• Licensed botanists or horticulturists
• Certified plant experts in your region
• Medical professionals for health-related questions
• Local poison control centers if you suspect poisoning

We accept NO responsibility or liability for any harm, injury, illness, or death resulting from the use or misuse of our plant identification service. By using this app, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Plant Scan are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

• You retain ownership of photos you upload
• You grant us license to process photos for identification
• We do not claim ownership of your photos
• Photos are not used for training or other purposes without consent

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Plant Scan is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Availability or uninterrupted access
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Absence of errors or viruses

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plant Scan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data
• Harm from misidentified plants
• Service interruptions

12. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the service at any time
• Change subscription pricing with notice
• Update features and functionality
• Limit or restrict access for abuse

13. Account Deletion

If you have created an account, you can delete it at any time:

• In-App Method: Open the app → Profile tab → Settings → Delete Account button
• Alternative Method: Email support@coredigitalapps.com with subject "Account Deletion Request" and your registered email address
• We will process deletion requests within 30 days
• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• All cloud-backed data (history, favorites, preferences) is permanently deleted
• Local data on your device remains until you uninstall the app
• Active subscriptions should be cancelled through Apple App Store or Google Play Store before account deletion
• You can continue using the app as a guest after account deletion

Guest users do not have accounts to delete. Simply uninstall the app to remove all local data.

14. Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service:

• For violation of these terms
• For fraudulent or abusive behavior
• At your request (account deletion)
• If we discontinue the service

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease, and we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may continue using the app as a guest.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, you retain the protection of those laws and the right to bring disputes in your local courts.
