🌿 Delete Your Plant Scan Account
We're sorry to see you go! If you wish to delete your Plant Scan account and all associated data, you have two options.
Method 1: Delete Account In-App (Recommended)
✅ Fastest & Easiest Method
Delete your account instantly from within the app.

Open Plant Scan app

Go to Profile tab (bottom navigation)

Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"

Confirm deletion - Your account will be deleted immediately
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you prefer, you can also request account deletion by contacting our support team:
You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, and your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following cloud-backed data will be permanently removed from our servers:
- Account Information: Email address and password
- Cloud-Backed Plant History: All plant identifications synced to the cloud
- Cloud-Backed Favorites: Your favorited plants list synced to the cloud
- User Profile: Profile information and preferences
- Usage Data: Monthly identification counts and usage statistics
- Subscription Status: Premium subscription information (if applicable)
What About Local Data?
📱 Local Device Data
Plant Scan stores data locally on your device. This local data remains until you uninstall the app.
To completely remove all data:
- Step 1: Delete your account (removes cloud data)
- Step 2: Uninstall the Plant Scan app (removes local data)
Guest Users
If you're using Plant Scan without an account (guest mode):
- No account data is stored on our servers
- All your data is local to your device only
- Simply uninstall the app to remove all data
- No account deletion needed
Important Information
⚠️ This action is irreversible
Once your account is deleted, all your cloud-backed data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Please make sure you have saved any important information before proceeding.
Subscription Cancellation: If you have an active premium subscription, please cancel it through your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) before requesting account deletion. We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
After Deletion: You can continue using Plant Scan as a guest user after deleting your account. Guest mode provides full plant identification features with local storage only.
Alternative: Temporary Deactivation
If you're not sure about permanently deleting your account:
- Simply uninstall the app - your account remains inactive
- Your cloud-backed data is preserved
- You can reactivate anytime by logging in again
- This gives you time to decide without losing your data
